Return to Israel

Just returned to Israel.

Visiting the streets and stairs of Tsfat, with their blue doors and hidden synagogues.
Climbing mount Arbel; getting all sweaty and tired but then stunned by the view over lake Kinneret.
Smelling the scent of hundreds of spices in the El Babour Spice Mill in Nazareth.
Amazed by the strategic position of Nimrod Castle and getting sucked into its history.

Bowing low in the tunnels under the Western Wall.
Laughing at Basti, the owner of Pizzaria Basti in the busy streets of Jerusalem.
Shocked and silenced by the holocaust in Yad Vashem.
Listening to the song of the muezzin echoing through the evening sky.

Falling in love with the vastness and freedom of the desert.
Touched by the diversity of cultures, languages and peoples.
Surprised by the hospitality of the locals.
Enjoying dishes I never knew before.

I love giving others travel advise...
